Welcome Back!! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday break and we wish you and your family the best in 2012. Thank you for letting us be a part of it!
We did some much needed painting and maintenance on the building during the break however we need to paint the lockers in the bathrooms so if your child has a lock on a locker please remove it and all items by Friday, Jan 6th – any locks remaining will be cut to allow the lockers to be painted. When you return the following week you are welcome to bring the lock back however we will have a locker sign out sheet so we know what lockers belong to whom. You are welcome and encouraged to come back and help your child empty their locker to be sure that you have all your belongings. Thank you.
Practice Changes USAG teams: Week Jan 2-6 only
Level 4 Girls – Reg practice Mon and Wed, Thrs practice 5:30-8:30, we will be ending practice early on Friday 4:30-6:30 to allow them to get some rest for the meet. They are not to stay for open gym this Friday.
Level 5-7 Girls – Reg practice Mon, Wed, & Fri , practice Thrs 5:30-8:30 No practice Sat.
Boys Team – Regular practice schedule plus Wednesday practice 5-7:30.
Advanced Bears/Lions, Hot Shots, and PreTeam:
Fun Meet is scheduled for Sunday, Jan 22nd at Ft. Eustis. Check in at 1pm. There is a sign up sheet in the lobby. Cost is $25 – TPA will be paying half so parent portion is $12.50 made payable to Triple T. If you have not gotten your child’s competition leotard please see the front office. Thank you.
Tentative date for the next one is Sunday, Feb 26th at Triple T. Check in at 1pm.
Reminder to all – TPA is a very important part of our competitive program and helps offset much of the cost for meets to help parents. It is very important that all parents are participating in fundraising to allow TPA to continue assisting financially. There is a sign up sheet on the wall in the lobby for Hockey games and other events at Scope. Please check the dates and sign up for 1 or 2 events today. Also Hampton Roads Entertainment Books are in and available for sale – lots of great deals.
Also, “Free Drink Cards” are in and available for sale. These are awesome!! The card allows the holder and up to 5 other people free nonalcoholic drinks with the purchase of a meal. That means a family of 4 would save approx $12-15 every time they go out. The cards are good until Feb 2013 and are only $15 each. There are 20 participating restaurants listed on the back including: Buffalo Wild Wings, Paradox, Fire Mountain, Fire House Subs, Plaid Turnip, Spagetti Eddies, and many, many more. We will be setting up booth sales outside some of the restaurants and will have sign up sheets available soon.
TPA is currently seeking corporate sponsors for the team bags. Sponsorship packet will be available soon if you have any company that you would like to speak to regarding sponsorship.
We would like to welcome and thank the new TPA Board members that were elected on Oct 28th. They are: Carrilin Grizzle as Asst Treasurer, and Tracey Brinkley as Fundraising Director. We look forward to a great year!! Angela Lott will be assisting the gym with maintaining the team fund and registering for meets.
